Announcements:

The NMRC has approved the temporary suspension of Clenbuterol in Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds entered to race at any racetrack for one year, effective April 20, 2012-April 20, 2013. The NMRC recommends not to administer Clenbuterol within 30 days of a race. Clenbuterol in a post-race sample that exceeds the screening limit of 100pg/ml in urine and 2pg/ml in serum/plasma will constitute in a violation of NMRC rules.

Rules 15.2.6 NMAC have been amended. Please review and print new rules in effect for your records. The changes to the rules are effective as of July 31, 2012.

Please be advised that the New Mexico Racing Commission, after receiving input during a recent Medication Committee meeting, will resume testing for Aminocaproic Acid.

If the presence of this drug is detected in a sample provided by a race horse, the trainer may be charged with a penalty assessed with a Class 4 drug.

Trainers test will now be given at the live race track every 1st and 3rd Weekend of every month


 
There will be a $35.00 fingerprint fee assessed on all applicants requiring a set of prints to be submitted with their NM Racing License. Payment must be made in the form of a money order or cashier?s check payable to NM Racing Commission.
